Tappan Zee High School students and staff hosted the second annual Elective Fair during lunch periods yesterday to promote the extensive elective offerings that will be available as students prepare to make their course selections for the 2023-2024 school year.

“Tappan Zee High School offers a variety of electives, and it was important to develop an opportunity for students to explore their options before they sit with their counselors to develop their schedule for the 2023-24 school year,” said TZHS Assistant Principal Melissa Luciano. “The elective fair will allow students to learn about the electives from teachers and their peers. We encourage our students to explore the array of electives to tap into their interests and passions, or to try something new.”

Students heard about the wide variety of courses offered relating to business, art, computer science, technology and core subjects directly from fellow students and faculty members. Students currently taking the electives spoke with prospective students about course requirements, course descriptions and benefits of taking the course to help them plan for the upcoming school year and beyond.
