The TZ Athletics Department, along with proud families, coaches and administrators, celebrated 11 senior student-athletes who have committed to playing sports at the collegiate level at its 2023 Signing Day Ceremony this afternoon!
“We are so proud of our student athletes as they venture on to the next level of academic achievement and athletic greatness,” said Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Bill Pilla. “I tell our student athletes that hard work pays off and that is demonstrated by these individuals as they continue their careers. They have certainly found success on the fields of play here at TZ, but what makes their accomplishments so satisfying is they are exceptional human beings who set a wonderful example for their younger teammates and the youth of our community!”
According to the National Collegiate Athletic Association, just six percent of high school athletes nationwide continue on to compete in any NCAA division collegiate program. SOCSD is proud to celebrate our TZHS Class of 2023 student-athletes who have achieved this exceptional milestone:
