Congratulations to Interim Superintendent of Schools Ileana Eckert was among those honored as a 2023 New York State Senate Woman of Distinction in Albany yesterday!
Eckert, who is an officer on the Rockland Community College Board of Trustees and a member of the Rockland County YMCA Board of Directors, retired as Superintendent of Schools in the North Rockland Central School District in August 2020 after a 42-year career in education. She was nominated by NYS Senator Bill Weber for the recognition program, which was created in 1998 to honor exemplary women from across New York State whose professional or personal achievements, commitment to excellence and accomplishments merit special recognition.
