The SOCSD Summer Enrichment Programs officially kicked off this week!
Designed by K-5 Instructional Literacy Coach Kristy Nadler, the Cottage Lane Elementary School Summer Enrichment Program features engaging educational activities, including comic book design, reading and writing, social emotional learning lessons, engineering projects and physical education.
“The CLE Enrichment program is designed to help students continue to improve their reading and writing over the summer. The students are matched to the reading instruction that works best for them,” explained Nadler. “The students have a period of writing instruction and two periods of specials. The specials they have include engineering, world languages, outdoor games, and art. We hope this experience leaves them even more excited to return to school in the fall with the skills they need to succeed.”
Stay tuned for continued coverage of our summer enrichment programs throughout the District!
