The summer learning continues for our William O. Schaefer Elementary School students! Coordinated by K-5 Instructional Literacy Coach Kristy Nadler, the WOS Summer Enrichment Program kicked off last week and features fun, educational activities, including reading and writing workshops, arts and crafts and physical education.
“In the WOS Summer Enrichment Program, students are working on maintaining their phonemic awareness, phonics and reading levels. Students have one period of reading instruction and one period of phonemic awareness and phonics instruction,” said Nadler. “The students also have two specials each day. They have engineering, arts and crafts, directed drawing, fitness, yoga, outdoor games, board games and Lego fun! We hope that they are excited to come to camp and that excitement follows them into the next school year!”
