2023 AP Scholars

Ninety Tappan Zee High School students earned 2023 AP Scholar Awards for “outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams” over the course of their high school careers!

“We are extremely proud of our students for challenging themselves by taking AP courses. The commitment to hard work by both our students and teachers is evident as we walk into these classrooms. I encourage all of our students to continue to explore the plethora of AP courses offered at Tappan Zee High School,” said Principal Melissa Luciano.

Twenty-five students earned AP Scholar With Distinction recognition for receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. The average score for TZHS students who earned the 2023 AP Scholar With Distinction designation was 4.24.

Twenty-three AP Scholars With Honor received an average score of at least 3.25 on all exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The average score of TZHS students named 2023 AP Scholars with Honor was 3.76.

Forty-two students received scores of 3 or higher on three or more exams and were granted AP Scholar status. TZHS’ 2023 AP Scholars earned an average score of 3.49.
