It’s National Signing Day! This morning, TZ Athletics hosted a ceremony to recognize the following five senior athletes who have committing to compete next year in Division 1:
- Sofia Fenton, Columbia University, Women’s Track & Field
- Ben Fishel, Columbia University, Men’s Baseball
- Jack Kryger, US Military Academy at West Point, Men’s Soccer
- Tara McHugh, Youngstown State University, Women’s Lacrosse
- Daniela Parisi, Albany University, Women’s Lacrosse
“We are so proud of our National Letter of Intent signees!,” said Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Bill Pilla. “Less than two percent of high school student-athletes play at the Division 1 level, so sending five athletes to Division 1 is certainly a proud day for our Athletic Department.”
As in year’s past, there will be a second ceremony in the spring for student-athletes who commit to a college later in the school year. Congratulations to our athletes and their coaches and families!
