This weekend, 35 SOCSD student-musicians will be performing in the Rockland County Music Education Association Junior All-County Festival and the Jazz All-County Music Festival at Fieldstone Middle School! Thirty SOMS and TZHS students will perform as part of the Junior All-County Festival and five TZHS students will participate in the Jazz All-County Festival. Selections were based on the students’ outstanding solo audition scores from last spring’s New York State School Music Association solo evaluation festival.
The annual RCMEA festivals provide students with opportunities to perform with the best ensembles in the county with notable music professionals from across the United States. SOCSD students will also be performing in the RCMEA Intermediate All-County Music Festival next month.
