The TZHS Interact Club hosted the much-anticipated Annual Senior Citizen’s Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance on Friday! Over 100 community members joined their friends in the TZHS cafeteria for a night of delicious food, live music and prizes donated by local businesses.
TZHS Interact Club Advisor Jillian Feygin worked alongside club officers and members to organize this year’s event. Interact Club President Ciara H. has been eager to host the event and has been a member of the club since she was in ninth grade. “I have been really looking forward to hosting this event because it’s such a fun event and it’s an opportunity to connect generations. It gives us all the chance to hear other people’s stories. We work with the community through other events such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and we create food baskets around the holidays but this is definitely our biggest event,” said Ciara.
Guests were treated to performances by the TZHS Quartet Club and Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Orchestra Director Jonathan Rossi. The TZHS Art Service Club and the Arts & Crafts Club helped create a valentine-themed photo booth, complete with a polaroid camera and instant photo printer so attendants could take their pictures home with them that night.
