More than 130 scholarships and awards were presented to Tappan Zee High School seniors by local community organizations, universities, alumni groups, staff groups and departments at the annual Senior Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 3!
TZHS Principal Melissa Luciano congratulated recipients and urged them to celebrate their accomplishments and think about their high school journey as they prepare to graduate later this month. “Today is a time to celebrate all that you have achieved and all of the hard work that it took to get here. Each of you may have followed a different path and as we see each student come up here and celebrate their achievements, it’s important to recognize the difficulties some may have faced and what an accomplishment it is to be here today,” said Luciano. Awards and scholarships were presented to members of the Class of 2024 recognizing academic, artistic and athletic achievement, leadership and character.
