“Collaborative,” “nurtures curiosity,” “compassionate advocate,” “consistently goes the extra mile,” “master of content” and “unwavering dedication” were among the phrases used to honor staff retirees, Milestone Members and PTA and district volunteers at the annual Districtwide Celebration last evening.
Superintendent of Schools Brian Culot, Ed.D. also presented Board of Education President Steven Finn, Vice President David Sansone and member Dana Stilley, PhD with New York State School Boards Association Level 1 Achievement Awards for continually participating in training to advance their governance and leadership skills.
Culot and Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Joseph Lloyd, Ph.D., who organizes the event each year, expressed deep appreciation for the personal investment each of the honorees–staff and community members alike–has made in supporting educational excellence. The sentiments were echoed by CLE teacher Sunita Hill, who represented the Educators Association of South Orangetown.
