South Orangetown students, parents, staff and community members are invited to participate in a Board of Education public feedback session on Thursday, March 16 at 7:30PM in the SOMS Auditorium to share their thoughts about school security staffing. The District is considering additional staffing options to increase the level of response at each of our four schools.
In preparation for the March 16 feedback session, participants are asked to:
- Review information posted on the Security Staffing webpage and submit questions via this Google Form (English | Spanish) by Sunday, March 5. Questions submitted will be used to develop a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) resource which will be shared with our community on Friday, March 10.
- Read the FAQ (to be released March 10) and be prepared to share their thoughts about the options under consideration at the public feedback session.
Community input will help to inform the Board’s decision making process on this important topic.
