Congratulations to the 22 Tappan Zee High School student-musicians selected to perform in the 2023 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State Festival at Wallkill Senior High School, November 17-18. Area All-State musicians were chosen from more than 2,000 applicants based on outstanding solo audition scores from the NYSSMA solo evaluation festival last spring.
The festival features approximately 350 student-musicians from Rockland County and five nearby counties. Rehearsals begin on Friday, November 17 and culminate with two concert performances on Saturday, November 18. The ensembles will be led by guest conductors from various parts of the U.S. who are top professionals in the music field.
