On Friday, December 22, the Tappan Zee Athletic Department will host a ceremony to honor the 2023 Boys Varsity Basketball Team for their Class A New York State Championship–a first in school history!
The brief event will include the unveiling of the championship banner, distribution of rings and remarks by Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Bill Pilla and Boys Varsity Basketball Coach George Gaine. The ceremony will be held in the TZHS Main Gym 15 minutes after the conclusion of the Girls Varsity Basketball game vs. Demarest High School, which begins at 4:30PM. Tipoff for the Boys Varsity Basketball game vs. Albertus Magnus High School is slated for approximately 6:30PM.
