Online access to schedules, grades, homework, and attendance information makes it easy for students, parents and teachers to monitor academic progress.
How to Log into PowerSchool Portal
Note: Parents and students have their own username’s and passwords. If you do not know your username and password, please contact your school’s PowerSchool contact: Virginia Bonardi at SOMS – (845) 680-1106 or Mary Beth Vero at TZHS – (845) 680-1654.
- Log onto the PowerSchool Portal website: http://powerschool.socsd.org/public/home.html
- Enter your username in the first field.
- Enter your password in the second field.
- Click “Enter” and the portal will open on the Grades and Attendance page.
To view course grade or assignment details, click on the grade in the term column. The Class Score Detail page appears. Click an assignment under the Assignment column to go to the Assignment Description page. (Please note that Assignments may not be linked to additional detail.) Use the browser Back button to return to the Grades and Attendance page.
To view the absences or tardies for a selected class during the current term, click a number in the Absences or Tardies column. The Dates of Attendance page displays all absences or tardies for that class.
To view the absences or tardies for all classes during this term, click a number in the Attendance Totals row. The Dates of Absence or Dates of Tardies page displays all absences or tardies. Use the browser Back button to return to the Grades and Attendance page.
To view total absences for the year to date, scroll down to the the Attendance by Day section on the Grades and Attendance page. Click a number in the Absences or Tardies column. Depending on your selection, the Dates of Attendance page displays the total absences or tardies for the semester or for the year-to-date.
The PowerSchool Portal is available throughout the school year. However, access to the portal will be disabled periodically to help facilitate the entry of comments and grades.
